Michelle LaVaughn Robinson Obama (née Robinson; conceived January 17, 1964) is an American attorney, college director, and author, who was the principal woman of the United States from 2009 to 2017. She is hitched to the 44th leader of the United States, Barack Obama, and was the principal African-American first woman. Becoming Michelle Obama Book.

Raised on the South Side of Chicago, Illinois, Obama is an alum of Princeton University and Harvard Law School. In her initial lawful profession, she worked at the law office Sidley Austin, where she met Barack Obama. She in this way worked in non-benefits and as the partner senior member of Student Services at the University of Chicago and the VP for Community and External Affairs of the University of Chicago Medical Center. Michelle wedded Barack in 1992, and they have two little girls.

Obama battled for her better half’s presidential offer all through 2007 and 2008, conveying a keynote address at the 2008 Democratic National Convention.
